Born on 3 September 1958 in the Netherlands, MEP Peter Van Dalen is Vice-Chair of the Committee on Transport and Tourism and member of the Delegation for relations with India. He was senior inspector/director for inland waterways from 2005 to 2009.
The “Maritime Affairs” Group will notably address the following issues:
- Ship emissions
- Ship recycling
- Off shore energy
- Emission trading scheme
- Maritime spatial planning
- EU Marine Strategy Framework Directive
