With its strong networking capacity and long experience within the EU, EBCD organises international conferences, workshops and other events involving stakeholders and political deciders at the highest level (Ministers, EU Commissioners, and Presidents of EU Parliamentary Commissions etc.).

Often the results of these events encourage to formulate legislation and feed discussions at EU level, as well as negotiations at the General Assembly of the UN, FAO, CBD, IUCN etc.

Past examples include the conferences on:
